Edit: Changed to 5 stars as our boy loves to swim and now he has more freedom to do his thing in the pool. Seems to be a well made jacket. We haven't tried it in the pool yet (hence only 4 stars), but was easy to put on and adjust. Our pup is only 6 months old and still growing so I got the next size up from his measurements, seems perfect with room to grow.

The pups loved these life jackets (as much as they could). They fit snug for safety, yes not constricting. I love the Velcro, along with the clips to make sure it stays. The clip for leashes is super helpful. And they looked sooooo cute! And of course, more importantly, it kept them floating and safe. The neck flap was very useful for the pink one, one in the green didn’t care for it. Honestly a great product and definitely a good price!

I’ve been looking for a life vest for my English bulldog since they have a weird body shape so I’ve tried different brands before but they didn’t fit him well enough and I wasn’t 100% confident with it until I got this life vest! Fits him like a glove! I love that extra float that goes by his neck so that it keeps his head up right. If you have an English bulldog, don’t look anywhere else because this is the one!! For reference, he’s 67 pounds! He just turned 8 years old and found his new favorite hobby! Swimming at the lake! 😊

I would not make my girl wear this jacket for a day trip on the boat but if we ever have trouble or rough seas this is the one I would put on her. It’s bulky but it has a very easy to grab handle and a chin strap to keep her head up. She is ten pounds / 12” from collar to tail and the x-small fit great. We keep this with our type 1 PFDs. My Vally is a 8 month old 22lb mini golden doodle, we ordered her the medium. It’s definitely roomie which is what we wanted. She is a natural swimmer and loves the water. We bought the life jacket to give her extra support while swimming, which it does perfectly! She was also drinking too much pool water before using the life jacket, but now the flap really helped keep the water from going in her mouth. We also used the life jacket when going out on the boat in the lake she was able to wear it the whole time because on land it has a hook to attach her leash to and it’s super easy to run around in! Definite buy for us! Not to mention the handle on top is really great for helping control the direction you want your pup to swim in.

I have a 14# Yorkiepoo who is obsessed with being near me at all times and hated swimming but would jump into our above ground pool to get to me, so I decided he needed a life jacket. This one is awesome. I love the little flap in front, it keeps his fool head out of the water and the jacket fits him so well. He still hates the water and will jump in and swim to me on my floaty and climb on and sit on my CHEST....but at least he won't drown trying to get to me....plus, he hates having his nails cut and if I put him in this and my husband uses the handle to hold him like a suitcase, I can cut his nails!!!!

I originally purchased a different life jacket, but had some concerns with its design so decided to shop around some more. I like this design the best because it is very buoyant (compared to others) and I like that it has a ring to connect to the leash (meaning I can put the life jacket on at the car and walk my dog down to the shore without having to switch out collars/harnesses down at the water). I do wish the ring was metal though, it is plastic and I worry about its longevity.

Love this product! We use it especially when we want to take our German shepherd paddle boarding with us and it’s been a life saver literally! Even just the gift of relaxing a little bit because now I’m not constantly worrying about her just drowning the second I look away AND I can easily just grab the handle and help pull her up on the paddle board, my sweet pup even helped pull me closer to shore when I hurt my leg! Awesome and I love it! I also made sure to get a bright color so I can see her at all times even when she’s under the water.

My dog is a weenie dog and has had back problems for the last 2 years. She used to be a very strong swimmer and was able to jump off our kayaks and swim around in basically any type of water. But when her back went out and she suffered partial paralysis in her hind legs, her swimming ability became hindered and it made it very hard to take her with us on our river adventures. We couldn’t deal with seeing our dog so sad when we would leave without her and decided to order this life jacket. Due to her limited use of her back legs I needed something that was going to hold her above water effortlessly and this did just that. The little pad below her chin gave her an extra bit of support so that her head never went below water. The strap on the back was also very nice for us when we needed to pull her out of the water in a hurry/safely. This gets two thumbs up in my book well done for…

I've used this only once so far but it helped us make my dog learn to swim :) She feels scared to go in the water deeper than her legs so the handle on the back was very useful. She played with another pup for a bit and the puppy bit the vest here and there but it withstood the beating. Also, they did tug over the chin rest part (it came off while they were playing) but it didn't get any damaged after all. I'm looking forward to using this again on the water :D Only con part would be the velcro part around the belly traps sands and it didn't get clean after rinsing. In the picture, my pup was 6mo old and weighed around 30LB. ---update--- Added second pic, she is 13mo old and 34LB. I found that the chin rest part zips off half way down easily (didn't come off completely tho) so that I thought it would be nice to have something prevents it. I may be able to sew something like a velcro tape.
